What I Say: Milea Honey Propolis Bath Soap

I have promised a lot of reviews, so let's get things rolling! ;D

Most of the stuff featured on my latest haul are soaps. If you haven't checked that out yet, then just click this link: Haul | February 2018. Let's start with one of those soaps.

I got this Honey Propolis Bath Soap from the brand Milea. They do have their own site which is www.milea.ph, but I actually ordered through Shopee.

This product is made by hand in the Philippines.

Aside from soaps, Milea also offers other natural and organic bath and body essentials.

Keep in mind that despite a product being all natural and organic, it doesn't mean that it is instantly safe and effective. The company itself warns the consumers and encourages us to be mindful and careful and to test each product first on the wrist.

They don't include the complete list of ingredients on the packaging, but the manufacturing and expiration dates are indicated on the side. They even included the batch number.

There's also a short product description on the other side. A more elaborate description is present on their site. Here's what they say about this Honey Propolis Bath Soap:

"HONEY PROPOLIS SOAP
Honey in Milea All Organics Honey Propolis Soap helps to keep skin free of bacteria and washing away impurities. Honey benefits on skin are as follows:

Antimicrobial – prevents the growth of certain bacteria
Humectant or Hygroscopic – absorbs moisture from the air. Humectants are used in cosmetic products to help moisturize and smooth the skin.  Honey does that naturally.
Antioxidant  – by destroying free radicals, antioxidants on the skin will help protect the skin from sun damage and help it look younger longer.
Dry or Damaged Skin – because of its antioxidant and humectant properties, honey soap is great for dry or damaged skin.
Acne – because of its antimicrobial and antioxidant properties, raw honey helps kill bacteria that may cause acne and will help skin heal faster.

Propolis on the other hand is produced by bees to cover their hive & protect it from bacteria, & is used in this soap for its restorative benefits. This soap is helpful for inflamed & blemished skin but is also suitable for cracked heels & hands, athlete’s foot & problem skins in general."

...and more information about their organic soaps:

"Our soaps are made using the cold process of saponification. We use combination of oils that are beneficial to skin, like Virgin Coconut Oil, Coconut Oil, Castor Oil, Olive Oil. We do not use soap hardeners, bubble enhancers, artificial skin softeners. Aside from essential oils, we also use fragrance oils to enhance the scent of the soap. After all, we do take a bath to smell good! We take pride in the character of each and every soap we make.

We use natural coloring on some variants, for the others, we use iron oxides or food colors. This enhances the look of the soaps, so you do not see whites and browns only. There had been a lot of debates regarding the use of parabens as preservative. We took it upon ourselves to not use parabens. Instead, we use preservatives that are considered of organic source, that are non-formaldehyde reactor, does not cause accumulation, and are bio-degradable

When keeping All Organic soaps for a long time, remove from plastic and store inside your cabinet. We make soaps daily - this is because we make them in small batches, with no machines, so we do not use electricity. We do not burn fossil fuel in making them.

NO animal testing were done on our soaps. We test them on ourselves, our family and staff and their families."

It is natural, organic and CRUELTY-FREE. As I've mentioned on my previous post, such products are not only good for us, but also for the environment.

I'm on my third week of using this soap now. Yes, you've read that right, THIRD WEEK! I know most organic soaps melt easily, but not this one. Besides, I cut mine into five smaller pieces. Each piece lasts me for 4 to 7 seven days. A 100 G bar that is worth 90 Php surely lasts for quite a while. It is undeniably worth it.

Unlike other organic soaps, it is also sudsy. It lathers easily. It has a completely different feeling to it. It feels really good on the skin and it is thin, light and airy. It makes me feel squeaky clean and fresh, without being dry. It leaves my skin feeling and looking healthy and moisturized. It has a mild sweet scent.

I haven't experienced any adverse reaction or anything of that sort.

I believe it makes my skin look firm and glowy. It also heals and prevents acne break out. If you're wondering, I personally only use this on my body. I have not tried it on my face. By mentioning acne, I mean body/back acne, since I tend to get some from time to time.

I have nothing but praises for this soap and brand. I am 100% positive about this thing. You definitely have to give it a try.
