What I Say: Robinson's At Home Electric Oil Burner

I am finally more than ready to give my in depth review on the products that I featured in this haul. Let's start with this Robinson's At Home Electric Oil Burner.

You can find this and other types of burners at the home fragrance aisle of Robinson's Department Store. This electric burner costs 399.75 Php.

I'm honestly not sure why they recommend to add water when using oil. Maybe, they are trying to make it work not just as a diffuser but also a vaporizer. If you're not familiar with it, a vaporizer works by boiling water and releasing hot steam which increases humidity. Similar to a humidifier, it's also good for the skin and health. They keep moisture around and make breathing easier. The only difference is that while a humidifier produces cool mist, a vaporizer produces warm mist.

If you're going to follow their recommendation, I suggest you use water soluble scented oils like the ones for air purifiers/humidifiers. You can use Zenzest's fragrance blends. They are made to be mixed with water. I actually tried mixing a regular scented oil with water and it ended up a bit messy. The scent did come out fine but the mixture didn't fully evaporate. I had to clean and remove the remaining bits. Using scented oil on its own is fine.

Regarding its appearance, I personally like it so much. It's Greek inspired and aesthetically pleasing. I like the color white, too. It looks so clean and pure. If you're not into white, worry not, it also comes in other colors like black, nude and gray.

It has a regular plug that doesn't need an extra adapter. It also has an on and off button. It would be a lot better though, if it also had a timer.

The photo above shows the bottom part. It stands still and is very sturdy.

The main body is composed of two parts that you can easily separate. The upper part is where you put the scented oil while the lower part is the one that heats up. It actually reminds me of an electric stove. It takes around five minutes for it to get extremely hot.

As I've already mentioned back in my haul post, the only thing that I'm not a big fan of is this red jelly on/off light indicator. I haven't done anything about it yet. I'm actually afraid that I would mess it up, if I try to pull it or paint on it. I guess, I'll let it go for the meantime.

As I whole, I love it. It does its job properly. It diffuses and lets the scent circulate all around.

I still do love my candle burners, but it is nice that I get to change it up from time to time and use less number of tealight candles. Good quality tea light candles are not cheap anyway.

As I mentioned above, this electric oil burner can also work as a vaporizer, just with the right kind of scented oils.

It's affordable, too. I found another type of electric burner that can be used as a lamp in a different store for 1,500 Php. I'm glad I didn't go for that one. I don't need a lamp anyway. Having a bulb that needs replacing from time to time would just be an extra work, too.

Lastly, it doesn't only work well with scented oils. It's also great for fragrance melts. I love using this for my Scentchips. It does a great job at releasing the scents of the chips to the fullest and for a longer time.

With those reasons, it's definitely a good buy for me. I recommend it to other home fragrance lovers out there. ;)
