Hey gorgeous! I have a DIY makeup tool dupe for you today. :)
I learned this awesome tip from the oh-so-gorgeous Aussie youtuber Chloe Morello. If you don't know who she is, you should definitely check out her YouTube account. She's not only gorgeous but very talented as well. Not to mention, she has great personality and sense of humor. You'll love her.
Now, we're going to talk about shadow shield. This is a makeup tool that you stick under your eye to catch any fallout. You can get 30 pieces for $9.99 which is pretty affordable.

The thing though is that shadow shield is not widely available here in our country so we can definitely use a dupe. It is surely a plus, too, if it is much more affordable. And that's what I have to share today.
What you will need to dupe this genius invention is simply a panty liner. Yes, you've read that right, my friends. A panty liner! Oh, and scissors of course.
I have two here from different brands. The one on the left is from the brand called Sisters and the other is from Carefree. I prefer the first one because it is a bit thinner but I think the second one is much similar in terms of shape to the real shadow shields.
That's actually about it my friends. All you have to do is cut the middle part and you would have something similar to the ones below.
If you cut the liner perfectly, you would be able to use the end products not just to catch fall outs but also as a guide for shadow or liner if you want that perfect crisp line.
I know some people prefer tape as a dupe but that can be a bit harsh sometimes if not used carefully and also I don't think it is effective enough at catching fallouts. I still find the shadows sliding down from the tape since the top surface of the tape where shadows tend to fall is a bit smooth and glossy.
Anyways, back to the liners (now shadow shields :P), just to make sure that they will catch the fallouts effectively you can also lift the lower part a bit.
Sticking a panty liner on your face may not be the most glamorous thing to do, but hey, you'll be able to save some moolah. Also, it won't matter if you do your makeup alone. Besides, during that process we already tend to make tons of crazy faces and also look funny until everything's done, why not add one more crazy thing. ;)
