To tell you the truth, I only used this product once and I've already passed it on to someone else. If you want to know why, then keep on reading.
I actually got this as a gift last Christmas. You can find it on Watson's for around 250 Php or less depending on their promos. It's currently out of stock on their website, but you can still try your luck in their stores.
It comes in a giant 500 mL tub. If you have fine, thin hair like mine, it would probably last you for a year or so, especially if you use hair treatment only once per week. With this item, you definitely get a lot for what you pay for.
The pink tub is made of plastic, but it is pretty sturdy and efficient. The cap simply pops up. It has a wide opening, so it's really easy to scoop out product each time you use it.
You don't have to screw the top off, unless you want to completely take it away for whatever reason. There's nothing else on the top.
The manufacturing and expiration dates are stamped on the bottom of the tub.
There is a sticker label all around the body. It contains all the necessary details.
This product is made in Thailand.
It is simple and easy to use.
After shampooing, towel dry to remove excess water. Massage a generous amount of treatment wax onto wet hair. Leave for 5-10 minutes then rinse thoroughly. For optimal results, use after shampooing with Watson's Yoghurt Treatment Shampoo.
The product itself is pretty thick and luxurious, yet easy to spread all over the hair. It also has a beautiful, pearlescent finish. Scent-wise, it is rather feminine and delectable. I'm a fan of the way it smells. It also has just the right strength and longevity.
It's supposed to be for rough and curly hair. However, back when I used it, I didn't find it too much for my fine, straight hair.
It didn't provide a lot of body and volume, but it also didn't weigh my hair down. Besides, it effectively made my hair extra soft and smooth. Just like what's written on the back, my hair indeed looked more luscious and beautiful.
Another great thing about this product is that it is free from paraben, mineral oil, SLES, SLS, MI/MIT and alcohol.
Aside from yogurt, it also has other wonderful ingredients like Biotin.
Now, you're probably wondering why I gave it away.
The culprit is the silicon content. One of its ingredients is dimethicone. I'm aware that just like most ingredients, it also has both its pros and cons. It's just that, nowadays, I'm very picky and conscious about the stuff that I use and put in and on my body.
Dimethicone is one of those things that coat, but not penetrate. It mostly just covers and traps everything. It tends to provide instant and temporary positive effects. However, in the long run, it has the tendency to clog the skin, pores and what not.
My hair, as I've mentioned many times, is fine and thin. It is quite fragile and prone to hair fall and breakage. My scalp also has the tendency to get dry. I'm really afraid that products with dimethicone, or any silicon for that matter, would clog the hair follicles, make my scalp drier and mess my whole hair. I choose to keep it safe and go for products with no silicon. As they say, prevention is better than cure. Also, we all know that a healthy, clear scalp is the key to glorious, healthy mane.
I'm so grateful for the gifts that I receive. However, someone else would appreciate and use this product more. It's simply not for me. If you're not too sensitive and picky with the ingredients and you do well with dimethicone, maybe you can try this product. It is always your call.
Until next time!
