PUREDERM BOTANICAL CHOICE INTENSIVE LIO CARE GEL PATCH

Let's take a short break from all the Human Nature products, shall we?

This Botanical Choice Intensive Lip Care Gel Patch is from the brand Purederm. It is made in Korea and is distributed by Adwin Korea Corp. If you want to check out their website, it is www.purederm.com

The product that I have here is available online and in some Watson's stores for a fairly cheap price.

Just like most masks, a pack contains a single mask. For this specific item, it contains 2.5 g or .08 oz of product. The packet itself is relatively smaller compared to a regular packet of a face mask.

The pack is made of foil and it effectively stores and protects the actual product inside. There's also a special paper inside, aside from the clear and white plastic liners. The clear one in on top of the white plastic, that's why you can see some sort of bubbles in the photo above. I do appreciate those things for they are there to add ease and protection; however, they're not perfect.

When I opened my first pack, the gel patch wasn't even in between the plastic liners anymore. Fortunately, it was still inside the folded paper, or else I would have a bit of a hard time trying to get out an extremely fragile patch inside a foil packet.

Since I already mentioned it, the hydrogel patch is soft, smooth and extremely fragile. It gets torn and ripped so easily. You have to be extremely careful and make sure to keep your nails off of it. I myself don't have long, sharp nails, but I still did have a bit of a hard time.

slowly sliding down 😆

It also slips and slides easily. You have to be completely still to keep it in place.

The gel patch also has the tendency to keep on folding and sticking together that way.

Moving on, the product description and instruction on how to use it are on the back.

The list of ingredients is down below.

The date indicated on the pack is the manufacturing date. The expiry date is 3 years after that.

The product is scented. I'm not sure how to describe it, but it's the usual scent of most Korean masks. I personally don't find it bothersome. It's not even that noticeable.

Even though they sort of claim that it is not, the essence actually feels a little bit tacky to me. Though, I don't find that too much of an issue, since it gets absorbed easily and the tackiness subsides after that.

It doesn't leave a weird taste on the lips.

Let's now get into the effects of this product.

First of all, it doesn't cause any weird results or irritation on me.

It is meant to hydrate and soothe dry, cracked, chapped lips and I can definitely say that it does those jobs properly. It's quite healing and it keeps the usual lip issues at bay.

It does moisturize the lips, making them soft and smooth. I also agree that it gives the lips a bit of that supple, plump look. It also leaves them with a healthy wash of color.

after 1 use

My lips weren't in the best condition the past few weeks and that's why I decided to give this product a go. After just one use, my lips have definitely improved.

Overall, I do like the concept and the effects, but not the gel patch itself. There's so much room for improvement when it comes to the material.

So, will I repurchase? I still have a few pieces of Purederm Lip Care Gel Patches left and I will definitely keep on using them. Nonetheless, my answer if I will repurchase anytime soon is no. Not unless, they change or improve their supossedly "advanced hydrogel formula". I'll probably explore and try something similar.

Until next time!
