What I Say: Milea Coco Shea Body Butter

We have another Milea product in the spotlight today. For a bit of change, it's not one of their soaps this time, but one of their body butters, the Coco Shea Body Butter.

I got the 110g bottle for 275 Php. I think the bottle is a bit small for the price, but then I find body butters generally pricey.

All the product details, even the ingredients, manufacturer, batch number and expiration date are on the front label. There's nothing on the back, the top nor the bottom. The overall design is pretty simple and straightforward.

It has a flip top cap and you have to squeeze the bottle for the product to come out. It is definitely not the most convenient packaging, but I find it to be the most reasonable for this specific product. First off, it is more hygienic than a tub. Second, a pump wouldn't work smoothly since the product is on the richer, thicker and denser side.

It has the consistency and texture of a rich, dense, natural butter. It is far from watery nor oily. It is not light and fluffy. A bit of effort is needed in order to spread it nicely. That's why I prefer using it right after shower while my skin is still pretty damp, that way, it glides like a dream.

It is supposed to be an after sun body butter, but I personally use it as a regular body butter. I use it on a daily basis. I believe it's been 3 weeks now, since I started using this product. A little bit goes a long way, so it does last for quite a while. I think a 100g bottle is enough to last for a month.

This is how the body butter looks. The scent has a dairy/milky undertone which tends to last for quite some time. The initial scent though is not the best. I find it a bit mature. Fortunately, it easily subsides.

The body butter gets absorbed quickly. It doesn't leave any heavy feeling or a greasy film on the skin. It is a basic body butter that does exactly its job. It leaves the skin moisturized and indeed silky soft and smooth.

It is not gimmicky and it doesn't promise or try to do everything, all at once.

Milea has yet to fail me. I'm looking forward to try the other variants of their body butter.
