SMUDGE STICK HAUL | FEBRUARY 2019

I personally purchased all these smudge sticks from the shop called IHAPManila or Inner Healing and Peace.

Based on their old website, Inner Healing and Peace is a home-based business in Metro Manila. They mostly offer authentic gems and high-grade semi-precious stones and crystals, but they also do come out with ritual tools and instruments from time to time.

I actually found their page on Instagram and I placed my order using Viber.

Their SMS/Viber contact number is indicated on their page. There is nothing to worry about. The seller, Ms. Belinda Catacutan, is very easy to communicate with. She replies instantly. She's nice and accommodating.

Our transaction went smoothly. I placed my order and sent my payment through BPI last February 10, 2019. They shipped out my package the day after, Feb. 11. The seller provided a proof of shipment and tracking number. By Feb. 12, I already received my package.

Aside from BPI, the other possible modes of payment are through Metrobank, Palawan Express and LBC. They do ship nationwide. For provincial shipping, the courier they use is LBC.

Let's finally check out the list of smudge sticks that I got.

CEDAR SMUDGE WAND

I got this 5" smudge stick for only 220 Php.

"Cedar is first and foremost a medicine of protection. It is often used to cleanse a home when first moving in, inviting unwanted spirits to leave and protecting a person, place or object from unwanted influences. Cedar is often used in the sweat lodge ceremony."

"The sweat lodge ceremony is one of the most common ceremonies practiced by Native American people. Sweats may be conducted as a preliminary to other activities, such as a fast. Sweats may also be done for healing. The purpose behind all of these, however, is simple spiritual cleansing."

YERBA SANTA SMUDGE STICK

A 4" stick is worth 180 Php.

"Yerba Santa, also known as Mountain Balm, Consumptive's Weed, Gum Bush, Holy Weed and Holy Herb, is traditionally used as a smudge or incense for protection and setting boundaries. It has also been used for love, purification, growth, empowerment, beauty and the release of emotional pain stored in the heart chakra. It has an uplifting scent."

JUNIPER SMUDGE STICK

This smudge stick is 4.5" in length. It also costs 180 Php, similar to the 4" Yerba Santa.

"Juniper is said to have a masculine, protective energy, and is used in spells of cleansing and prosperity. Juniper berries are popular in good luck charms, while the leaves are often used for smudging. Juniper is best used for blessing a new venture or dwelling, and inviting in abundance."

PIÑON PINE SMUDGE STICK

This one is 6" in length and is worth 240 Php. Amongst all the smudge sticks on this list, it's the longest and priciest.

"Piñon Pine is used for purification, healing and prosperity work.

Pine is a herb for drawing long-term prosperity, reversing negativity, protection from ills and cleansing from negative influences."

BLACK SAGE SMUDGE STICK

The last one that I have here is also a 4.5" stick that costs 180 Php.

Black Sage is used to encourage dreams and visions. It is an herb of introspection and inner healing. When burnt before bedtime, it aids in restful sleep and pleasant dreams. Black Sage is used for astral travel, shamanic journeying, and for protection during such excursions.

IHAPManila offers a wide variety of smudge sticks for a lot more affordable prices compared to other shops. They also have the usual ones such as White Sage, Blue Sage and varieties of incenses. I definitely recommend this shop big time.

If you're not familiar and are wondering what smudge sticks are...

"Burning bundles of dried herbs - sometimes called smudge sticks - has been a part of many spiritual traditions dating back millennia and connects all traditional cultures, from the Native Americans to the Druids, from the Zulus to the Maoris, from Aboriginals to the Mayans, from the Chinese to the Balinese, all of which have age-old forms of cleansing and blessing rituals involving the burning of aromatic botanicals."

Here are the ways that you can use a smudge stick:

"Light the smudge stick. Walk in a large circle, stopping at East, South, West and North to create a sacred space for magic within the circle.

Light the bundle and walk through the rooms of a home or other building to cleanse, protect or imbue the space with energy.

Light the bundle and waft the smoke over your body or someone else's for a spiritual cleanse or for imbuing.

Wave the smoke over ritual tools or objects that you wish to bless."

That's all for this post. If you have any comments or questions that I can help with, just leave them on the comment section below.

Until next time!
