MAYUMI ORGANICS KISMET

KISMET is a limited edition shacon by MAYUMI ORGANICS. Its claim to fame is being comparable to Lush Karma.

I already featured this product on my SIMPLY GREEN AND NATURAL ECOSHOP HAUL. As stated there, I got this 25g shacon from the specified shop for 110 Php. It's truly more expensive compared to their regular shacons.

If you're not familiar, shacon stands for shampoo + conditioner.

This shacon is in a bar form. It is solid, but still the consistency has a tinge of softness.

It's honestly pretty easy to work with, especially compared to other shampoo bars. You can choose to rub it directly on your hair and scalp or rub it between your palms to create a lather. It's definitely not the bubbliest since it's sulfate-free, but it actually suds up more than other sulfate-free products.

What's wonderful about this product is that it's not only sulfate-free, it is also free from silicone, parabens, pthalate and other possibly toxic or harsh ingredients. It is mostly natural and organic. It is also cruelty-free and pretty much zero-waste.

Packaging-wise, it's wrapped in grease-resistant paper with a paper label and that's it.

Regarding the scent, I don't have any actual experience yet with Lush products, so I have nothing to compare it with. However, I must say that it does smell great. It actually makes me think of Berry-flavored Oreos. There's definitely some fruitiness present. It also has some sweetness that reminds me of cookies and cream. It smells delightful. The only drawback is that the scent is not too strong and it doesn't linger as much as the scents of other Mayumi Organics shampoo bars that I've tried. Who wouldn't love for the wonderful scent to stick to their hair all day?

Moving on, this shampoo bar claims to be mild. Therefore, it's safe for daily use even for those who have dry, damaged and color-treated hair. It is also safe for children, breastfeeding and pregnant women.

Despite being mild, I find it very effective when it comes to hair fall-, dandruff- and itch-control. I can totally attest to this since I have delicate, fine hair that is very prone to breakage and hair fall. It hasn't fully solved that issue, but I believe it has diminished it greatly. I don't have much problems with dandruff, but my scalp tends to get dry and sometimes itchy. Thankfully, ever since I started using this product, my scalp has gotten so much better.

This shacon also efficiently leaves my hair soft, smooth and shiny, yet not limp. It does provide a little bit of volume to my fine hair. Again, it's just a little bit. There's actually a Mayumi Organics shampoo bar that provides much more volume and I'll surely talk about that soon.

If you're wondering, I've been using the same bar for more than a month now. I only shampoo my hair every other day. I'm actually almost out of it. Still, around 15-20 washes is not bad.

This Mayumi Organics Kismet is definitely worth a try.

Until next time!
