Today, we have Lola Abon's Turon de Mani and it is the second to the last.
The packaging of this one is completely similar to the packaging of Lola Abon's Durian Caramel.
The company details are on the front.
The expiry date is indicated on the back.
The nutrition facts and ingredient list are not stated.
A pack contains 20 pieces.
Each one is wrapped twice. There's the red cellophane, then a clear plastic inside.
The look and consistency of it are comparable to a regular peanut brittle. It's hard and smooth. It's just in a different form. The shape and size are pretty even.
It may be on the hard side, but it's still possible to bite on it. Of course, it is safer to melt it in your mouth. I personally enjoy the former more.
Be aware that it has the tendency to melt and get sticky due to too much heat. It has the tendency to get a bit messy, so keep the pack in a cool dry place.
The scent of it also makes me think of peanut brittle. It is sweet, caramel-ish and a bit nutty.
It has the taste of a regular turon de mani, but just saltier.
To be honest, I'm not a fan of it because of how salty it is. I think they're trying to balance out the sweetness, but it just didn't work out that way.
Also, this is product doesn't have a durian touch. It's just truly a good old regular turon de mani.
Keep your eyes out for the last product from Lola Abon's.
Until next time!
