I've
been blogging about the same topic for about a week. I don't want
things to get extremely monotonous, so it's time to change things up
a bit.
This time, let's
talk about some of the things that I've used up. I actually have a
lot of empty products because I've been saving them for almost a year
now. However, I decided not to include all of them since I don't want
to overwhelm you and at the same time, I could no longer vividly
remember my experiences and reaction with most of them.
Without further
ado, let's proceed with the list of the products that left stronger
impressions on me. Let's start with make up products:
Estee Lauder
Sumptuous Bold Volume Lifting Mascara in 01 Black
One of the best
mascaras I've ever tried so far. It didn't only add length and volume
to my lashes, it also managed to keep my lashes curled for a very
long time. I believe it's not in waterproof formula but it never gave
me any problem regarding smudging and flaking. It was also extremely
easy to remove with just water and facial soap, no special eye makeup
remover needed.
NYX Radiant
Finishing Powder in 01 Brighten/Illumine
It's a highly
effective color correcting powder. It's very smooth and finely
milled. I enjoyed using the yellow part for my undereye area. The
rest were okay, too, except for the white part because it was too
glittery for my liking. One more downside was that it's too fragile.
The powder, not the container, broke and shattered due to a light
impact.
ELF Luscious Liquid
Lipstick in Cherry Tart
This was more of a
lip gloss rather than a liquid lipstick. It was extremely cheap but
it performed really well as a lip gloss. It was pigmented enough and
not too sticky. It was also long lasting. I actually already reviewed
it and another one in different color, if you're interested, read it
here.
We are done with
the makeup products. Let's now move on to skincare stuff.
Alpha Hydrox
Foaming Face Wash
It's a gentle yet
effective cleanser. It made my skin clean and clear without drying it
out and irritating it. It was also good at removing makeup. Unfortunately, I don't think it's available here in the Philippines. I ordered
this one a long time ago from makeupinboxph.com.
Andalou Naturals
Super Goji Peptide Perfecting Cream
This started out as
a good moisturizing cream. It made my skin smooth and soft. However,
on my third month of using it, it started making my face a bit itchy
and leaving me with a few red spots and breakout. I'm guessing that
due to its more natural components and container, maybe its shelf
life's a lot shorter. Mine probably just went bad.
Yadah Brightening
Mask Pack
This one was highly
saturated. After using it, I even had enough solution left to use all
over my body. It was indeed nonsticky and highly absorbable. It was
also extremely effective. It moisturized and visibly brightened my
skin. I really loved it. This was only given to me by my tito. I'm
not positive, but I think the brand Yadah is available at Beauty Bar.
Estee Lauder
Advance Night Repair Synchronized Recovery Complex
It indeed repaired
my skin. This product cleared my breakout, minimized my pores and
smoothened my skin. One time, a facialist even complimented me and
asked about the products I put on my skin. Back then, this was the
only one I was using. I didn't even use a separate moisturizer since
this serum was more than enough to hydrate and moisturize my skin.
Unfortunately, it's expensive. I'm currently using another serum and
looking for an affordable alternative.
That's all the
skincare products that I have. Now onto some healthcare products...
Doctor's Best Quick
Melt Melatonin
I used to have
trouble sleeping, thankfully I found this aid and it was very
effective. It's chewable and even tasted like chocolates.
Doctor's Best Best
French Red Wine Extract
This one wasn't
chewable and it didn't contain artificial flavor. It's vegan. I believe
it's a good supplement and antioxidant.
For the last part,
we have the perfumes.
Pure DKNY
I didn't really
enjoy this that much. It's actually a good floral scent. I'm just not
big into florals.
Estee Lauder Modern
Muse Le Rouge
I enjoyed this
better than the other one. It's sweet and you know how much I love
sweet scents.
Etude House MiniME
Ms. Lonely Perfumed Stick
I had this since my
college days. It was my go-to. I really liked it. I think, it had a
bit of spice that added depth and complexity to its youthfulness and
playfulness.
Here's a photo of
the products that didn't make the cut. Some of them, I already
mentioned or reviewed a long time ago. Feel free to search them on my
blog. ;)
